Dutch speaking Customs Declarant

Do you have experience as a Customs Declarant or are you interested in becoming one? Our client, importer and exporter of Asian, African and Indian food products is looking for a Customs Declarant for their Import team to be responsible for the customs clearance and declaration for the products being imported from Asia and Africa.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Taking care of the customs clearance of goods including pricing, technical assessment of product specifications according to the HS nomenclature
• Drawing up export documents and preparing and processing transit documents
• Answering questions from colleagues, suppliers and customers regarding customs technical issues
• Other ad hoc tasks

About you:
You already have experience in customs declaration or you are motivated to get fully trained to learn the needed skills and knowledge. You are aware and eager to stay up to date on the latest legislative changes regarding import and export of goods. You will be working in collaboration with different teams such as puchasing, sales and logistics. You will become part of a family business and a multicultural working environment.

Profile:

• Fluent in Dutch and English (C1-level or higher), both written and spoken, German is an advantage
• Completed declarant training or willingness to obtain this or similar training
• Experience in import and export preferable
• Available to start as soon as possible on-site in Kampen
